My signature series is The White Dog, but they are not just dogs but a reflection of ourselves.
Like a blank canvas, they can be anything. I dare not give them names. They could be you or someone you know well.
At least in the moments spent enjoying my art, I hope everyone, as equals, regardless of age, occupation, nationality, or cultural differences, can cherish the small joys and share smiles over the quirky moments in our daily lives —through The White Dog, I wish for such a world.

室伏 志保
1978年静岡県生まれ。 テーマは、日常のささやかな喜びや人間のおかしみ。
代表作である「白い犬」シリーズの彼らは犬ではなく、 私たちそのものを表す存在として描かれている。 2020年より画家としての活動をスタートし、年3〜4回ペースで個展を実施。 個展のたびに制作する画集は2025年11月に15冊目を迎える。
在廊が一番の原動力で、子供から人生の大先輩まで、国際色豊かな来場者と作品を通して「わかる！」と共鳴し合う瞬間がかけがえのない宝物。

誰かと話したくなる絵
私は、絵を迎えたオーナーさんが日常をさらに愛おしく感じられたらいいな、と願いながら、 一枚ずつ大切に制作しています。そして、原画を迎えたワクワクを末永く味わっていただけるよう画面の質感にもこだわっています。
あえて作った紙のシワにできる絵の具だまり、整えすぎない線、思わず触れたくなるようなテクスチャー、 光沢の違いが生む妙なリアルさ。しばらく眺めていると空想が広がっていったり、訪れたお客様と「この気持ちわかるわ〜」「こっちの角度からも見てみて」と話したくなるような、そんな作品を届けられる存在になれたら嬉しいです。
サイドまで絵が続くから額なしOK！届いたその日から気軽に飾れる
キャンバス表面を超えサイドまで描く、時に半立体の質感もそこに忍ばせるのは割と難儀で、 制作時間も想像以上に要しますが、額装に悩むことなく届いてすぐに飾れる気軽さと、さまざまな角度から愛でられる楽しさには代えられないと考えています。
中サイズ（50cm前後）以上の油彩作品は保存性の観点で縁まで描画しない場合があります

Shiho Murofushi
Born in 1978 and raised in Shizuoka.
Her work captures the small joys and quirky moments of everyday life—moments that bring a smile—expressed through “The White Dog” series — the character that is not just a dog, but a reflection of ourselves.
She began her career as an artist in 2020 and has since held three to four solo exhibitions a year, mainly in Tokyo. This publication marks the 15th art book she has created to accompany her exhibitions.

Art Books: Volume 15 Now Available!
Since the first gallery exhibition in 2021, the artist has created an art book featuring new works for every solo show. The series reached its 15th volume with the exhibition in November 2025. The artist aims for each publication to provide an equally satisfying viewing experience as the exhibited paintings, pouring her dedication and carefully considered improvements into every single issue.
The latest art books are available for purchase at the exhibition venue. Mail order is also available after the exhibition period concludes (Domestic shipping only). Please contact the artist using the Inquiry Form. Delivery generally takes around two weeks. Each book is 24 pages and costs ¥2,300 (tax included, free shipping). (Please note that some volumes are sold out and no longer available.)

Each piece is created with the hope that its owner will feel a little joy in their everyday life.
I pay great attention to the surface textures so that the excitement of welcoming an original painting lasts for years to come — the puddles of paint in the wrinkles of paper, the slightly imperfect lines, the textures that make you want to reach out and touch them gently, and the realism created by the contrast of gloss and matte.
Rather than an interior piece, I hope my works invite quiet moments of imagination freely, or spark a conversation with guests that makes them say “Don’t you feel that too?” “Oh, look from this angle!”.
I wish these moments bring smiles and warmth to your home or office.
Painted on All Sides — No Frame Needed. Ready to Display the Day It Arrives!
Painting beyond the front surface to the sides of the canvas — sometimes even adding semi-3D textures — takes much more time and effort than it may seem, but I value the ease of being able to display the work right away without framing, and the joy of appreciating it from every angle.
For medium to large oil paintings, around 50 cm or more, the sides may remain unpainted for preservation reasons.
Restoration & Repair Services
I truly cherish the connection made when one of my unique, original works finds a new home. While I may not be able to fulfill every request, I would like to offer my support if your artwork requires repair while being displayed or enjoyed in your home—for instance, if it is accidentally damaged or stained. Please feel free to consult with me via the contact form or email.
I will do my best to restore the piece within my capabilities. Please note that the owner will be responsible for all two-way shipping costs.
